Audrey, Caitlin and I got away for a long postponed vacation to
New Smyrna Beach, Florida at the end of October, 2008. We were
able to stay at a fantastic house right on the beach. It
was so close we almost thought we were living on a house boat!
One of activities was kind of unique; we took a tour of the town
and the beach on Segways and it was a lot of fun.
It's been a long time since I've updated this site partly because Audrey and I have spent a lot of our time this past year helping to caring for her father Walter who was quite ill. Unfortunately, Walter Mendoza passed away on Sept. 10th, 2008 after a long battle with kidney disease at age 82. He died at home surrounded by his children. We had a lot of support from caring friends and family who we really thank for all their understanding and help.
